Have an urgent Pension question?

04/11/2019 Racheal Smith

Sometimes some questions are pressing, and you do not have time to search through FAQs.  You are aware that you can phone the Teachers’ Pension Scheme or maybe even contact an independent advisor.  However, this all takes time.

To get access to instant answers to general questions, you can now speak to the experts at Teachers’ Pension Scheme using webchat.  Launched in August this year, and available to those registered on My Pension Online (MPO), you can now ping a message and get an instant response.

As the chat is not secure, the advisor will not go into detail about your pension.  However, they can answer general questions quickly and efficiently.  Questions like ‘where do I apply for early retirement?’ Or ‘where is the information about flexibilities?’ Are solved promptly using this chat feature.  It is available from 9 am to 4.30 pm, Monday through to Friday.

The hope is that there will soon be a secure web chat for members who want to explore specifics about their pension.
