MPO or My Pension Online is a portal on the Teachers Pensions Scheme (“TPS”) website. TPS offer this dashboard as a means of providing key information about your pension, as well as offering you control over certain decisions you may need to make.
Currently, there are three-quarters of a million members of the TPS using My Pension Online. This is obviously a small proportion of all teachers holding a teachers’ pension. Those who have a logged in for the first time have been able to use the portal to change their address details, update personal details such as marriage status, applied for retirement, or update their death grant nomination.
It is important to keep a regular check on your MPO accounts, as it offers all the latest information about your pension. You will be able to view your benefit statement, check that your service history is complete, use the calculators and contact TPS securely. Remember it is now a teacher’s responsibility to make sure TPS can make contact to ensure that details about service are correct. Schools are no longer required to pass on information.
Go to the TPS website and click on MPO to keep up to date with your pension. If you haven’t already registered, then there are only three easy steps to get started.
